• What is a prepaid card?

  It is a reloaded payment card which does not require the holder to own or operate an Ecobank account

• What is the maximum amount I can withdraw with my debit card?

  The default daily withdrawal limit on our debit cards deps on each affiliate. Please call our contact center for details. However, the maximum amount you can withdraw also deps on the denominations available in the ATM at any particular time (you may withdraw up to 8 times daily).

• Where can I locate the CVV2 CVV code on my debit card?

  This is the last 3 digits behind the VISA card (please picture)

• Upon request of card how long does it take to get it?

  Cards are issued instantly at any of our branches

• What are the ges for using my Ecobank ATM online?

  Kindly call our contact center for further details on ges for various online transactions.

• What is a cash express card?

  It’s a prepaid card

• There is no Ecobank ATM in my area what do I do since I urgently need funds?

  Please use any VISAMasterCard branded ATM at a fee. Regional cards (Azur, Platinum and Cash Express) can be used only on Ecobank terminals

• I want a prepaid card. How do I go about it?

  Please visit any of our branches with one passport size picture and a valid national ID

• I want an extra card on my account for a relative

  It is possible to have a supplementary card produced for any type of account. Please visit any of our branches and request for one or call the contact center for assistance

• My card is loststolen what do I do?

  Please call the number provided at the back of your card and report or a chat via https:goo.glebzfAP immediately for assistance.

• My card will expire soon, how do I obtain a new one?

  Ecobank now issues instant cards please visit any of our branches and request for one.

• I tried using my card on the ATMPOSONLINE and the transaction declined, what do I do?

• I mistakenly entered the wrong PIN and my card is locked. How do I get my card unlocked?

  At the ATM you are allowed a maximum of 3 PIN try entries when this is exceeded you may call, email or chat with us for assistance. If you have forgotten your PIN please visit any of our branches for a new one.

• I need an Ecobank ATM card what is the procedure and how long will it take to get one?

  Ecobank now issues instant cards please visit any of our branches and request for one.

• I tried using my card on the ATMPOS and it declined with "insufficient funds", what do I do?

  Please call our contact center to get your current available balance, after answering some security questions.

• How do I make payment on my credit card?

  Payment can be made: Directly by paying cash, cheque or transfer at any of our branches Direct debit by placing a standing order instruction at any of our branches Internet banking platform at your convenience

• I don’t remember my PIN code, how do I get a new one?

  Please visit any of our branches for a new one.

• I have just made payments on to my creditprepaid card yet I am unable to transact.

  The payment may take time to reflect however you may call, email or chat with us during urgent situations for assistance

• I lost my card and requested for blocking however the card has been found how do I unblock it?

  Your loststolen blocked card cannot be unblocked a new card will be produced instantly at any of our branches for you.

• Does my VISAMasterCard expire?

  Yes, the expiry date in printed on the front of the card.

• How can I load funds unto my cash express card?

  You may fund your card by Cash to card loading at any of our branches Card to card funds transfer via cardholder web portal and Account to card funding

• How do I get my credit card statement?

  Credit card statements are sent once a month, via e-mail you may call, email or chat with us for assistance if you have not received it.

• How do I link more accounts to my card?

  Please call the contact Center for assistance or contact via chat https:goo.glebzfAP

• Do I need to have an account to own a cash express card?

  No, you do not need to be an account holder to own a cash express card?

• Can I withdraw cash with my credit card?

  Yes. You may withdraw up to 30 of your credit limit at a fee

• Can I use my cash express card on ATM, POS and online transactions?

  Yes you can

• Can I use my Ecobank card for an online transaction?

  All Ecobank cards (VISAMasterCard branded) are enabled for online transactions. If your card is not Visa or MasterCard branded please visit your branch to request for one.

• I have just received my new card, how do I activate it for online transactions?

  Please perform a successful PIN based transaction (e.g. check your balance or withdraw money) on an Ecobank ATM in your country to activate the card.

• Any time I try to use my new VISA card, I get an error message " INVALID ACCOUNT SELECTED"

• Can I link two accounts to one card?

  Yes. If they are of the same currency and different account types (e.g. current account and saving account) this can be done at any of our branches.

• Can I use my card when I travel out of my country?

  Ecobank VISA cards are accepted on all VISA branded ATMsPOS worldwide Ecobank MasterCard cards are accepted on all MasterCard branded ATMsPOS worldwide Ecobank Regional cards (Azur, Platinum and Cash Express) are accepted on only Ecobank branded ATMsPOS.
